i love the idea that congress will finally do something about the carry-on. do they really think those overhead bins will stay closed in a bad landing? how would you like to be sitting under all that heavy luggage when it pops out? i also can't stand people who bring big heavy bags down to the plane then think that i can lift in the overhead for them. i am 5'7 and i weigh 115 pounds. what makes you think i can lift it if you can't? what makes you think my family can afford me loosing time from work with an injury? they do have baggage handlers and they do not lift the bags above their heads.
