Nick,
I think the lack of sharpness adds to the photo. If it was sharp it would have looked more scientific or nature photography-like. This version looks artsy to me. What makes it visually interesting is the dreamy quality, the pigeons' placements and the way each pigeon's image is different from the other. It's like an old time movie. Fred Astaire is dancing below.
I would have written you back sooner but I was on my way to a Greek cruise where WiFi was $1.00 a minute. I'm back now. Thanks for your comment.
