Should we support North Korea? In the abstract, no, we shouldn't.
But we should also realize that their government demonizes Americans to their populace, and possibly the most insidious way to oppose them is to show to their citizenry that Americans are thoughtful and generous, and that we don't hate or fear North Koreans, and that we wish the people of North Korea well even if their government opposes the ideals we believe in.
There is no propaganda more effective than word of mouth.
