Try Portofino Restaurant on historic Ascan Avenue at Queens Blvd across from Queens of Martyrs Cathedral. One block from Austin St. It is a family run establishment featuring Northern and Southern Italian dishes. Everything is delicious. Ask for Carmine-- the proprietor.
