While I love Delta's red dress uniform, I will never forget stopping in my tracks in Atlanta a year or two ago at the sight of a full Lufthansa flight crew walking down International Concourse E side by side. The crowd literally parted around them. All I could think of was my Dad's stories of flying TWA, Pan Am, and Eastern in the 60's and 70's through New York and Miami and thinking that THIS was as close as I'll ever see to that era.
