I agree with everything here, but I also wanted to add these thoughts:
Pack a few snacks unless you want to shell out a lot of money for mediocre food at the airport or on the plane. Even if you've recently had a meal, bring something in case your flight gets delayed.
Invest in three 3 oz. bottles and refill them with shampoo, body wash, face wash, etc. from large economy-sized bottles before every trip. It beats buying the overpriced "travel size" bottles every time. Also, consider using a bar of soap (and storing it in a waterproof soap travel container) or solid shampoo if you'll need more than 3 oz. on your trip.
