Drunk Brits get Crete arrest for nun prank
How many people actually dress up as nuns when they get drunk?
In Crete, the answer was "17" recently. That's how many drunk British tourists were arrested for insulting the Catholic Church. After a bit of extra imbibing, they donned "nun attire and naughty lingerie," which didn't sit too well with the local cops.
The tourists were busted in Malia, which is a popular destination for the young, drunk and rowdy. Even seasoned resort-town resident, who've probably become immune to the stupidity that tourists bring, have limits, it seems.
The penalty is most likely to be a fine.
UPDATE: After spending the night in jail wearing the lingerie they were wearing when they were arrested, the men have all been set free. Moreover, since no one showed up to testify that they had been upset by the tourists' bawdy conduct, the court dropped all charges.

Someone needs to make fun of the catholics. They say they don't practice birth control, but they do. They say you can't be gay but most of their priests are. They say a priest can't have sex, but most do, whether the kids are willing or not. They, like many other religions need to practice what they preach.

Everyone beleives that Christian are against evrything but Christianity, well the one thing we don't do is kill people for not beleiving , evryone wants Christians to be tolerant but they don't want to tolerant Christianity. Well the bible says that every knee shall bow and evry tongue cofess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD. If you beleive or don't this will happen. The question is do you want to do it from Heaven or hell?

I don't believe that all will bow to Jesus. That is unnecessary and was part of the doctrine fabricated by Paul who was Saul. He never met Jesus. He had a vision on the road to Damascus and is called a prophet. Anyone else who has visions is called a witch and is treated accordingly -- crazy or dangerous. He was crazy. His ideas set forth centuries of misunderstanding and hatred.
It's amazing how three faiths share the God of Abraham and can use the words of the Prophets in such different ways.
I also think Hell is a construct based on a misunderstanding of Sheol. Try again.
We are allowed to live and have fun.

Not all priests are pedophiles and rapists. There are a few in the Catholic Church who have done good in the world. One I knew went on a mission to Africa, not to spread the word, but to feed starving people and help house the homeless.

Upset about people dressing up in lingerie and making fun of the Catholic Church ... what a freakin joke! How convenient is it that they forget thet their low life priests dress up as child molesters and are partners in the largest condom maufacturing copmpany in the free world (after preaching to their people that birth control is)... what's the word... oh ya... a sin! Let's see child molesters, people in leingerie making fun of the church... hhmm... this ones easy!

The cops were the ones that were angry as I read it. Furthermore, why does homosexuality always come up when religion is mentioned? Christianity teaches against homosexuality, but it also teaches..don't steal, don't murder, don't commit adultery..etc. As I see it, if you are doing these things, you are obviously not going to agree with Christianity. Also, catholics while they are all lumped together with all forms of christianity, do not have the same beliefs as some other Christians. They believe Mary is the mediator, rather than Christ, and do not teach John 3:3. This is why Martin Luther protested the Catholic church and the protestant churches were started out of that. They didn't believe in the persecutions that the Catholic churches were committing. However, bible teachings were followed rather than tradition. It is so lame to cry injustice at Christianity because they don't agree with what they believe and are taught is immoral lifestyles, when those choosing immoral lifestyles so obviously don't agree with moral Christian lifestyles. Christians don't want their children taught immorality and those who choose immorality do not want to be taught anything about the morality of Christian living. The world will not be fixed by a demise of religion..if that were the case everything would be perfect in Godless tribes, nations, etc.

lets see the oldest and largest charitable orginazation wich feeds clothes houses medicaly helps more people then any other is evil.what does that say about the rest of the world and especialy her accusers.why no news media covering of other faith groups sexual crimes.where is the media when the qweens own butler is molesting children in buchingham palace.to all non catholics who join in the rock throwing at the body of christ. look up the the first time the word catholic was recorded and who used it.I love my gebirah you should to.

the singled out attacks on the church of Christ is just a sign of the times.jesus said no servent is greater than is master remeber if they persecuted me they will persecute you.tell me when is the last time you seen a rabbi on the news or a protestent preacher for abuse......still wondering. i checked out clergy abuse on line only to realize that protestent churches have more charges even thou they have lesser clergy.if you think im fibbing look it up for yourselfes .and then ask why only the attacks on the catholic church.all you biggots one day will awnser for this. st paul wrote i am the least of my brethren because i tried to destroy the church of the living God.. now what church is paul reffering to.the thousaands made by men .absloutly not. mathew chapter 16 is the awnser for that.
