186-Foot Record Breaking Kayak Drop Caught on Video
Back on April 22nd word spread through the extreme kayaking community that Tyler Bradt had set a new worlds record for the biggest drop over a waterfall. The previous record was 127-feet set just a few weeks earlier in Brazil, but Tyler reportedly smashed that mark by going over the 186-foot Palouse Falls in Washington State. I say reportedly, because no photos or video of the feat had been released. Until now.
Below is the video that was released yesterday showing the amazing drop. Watching it is part exhilarating but mostly scary. Watch at your own risk!

How does this differ from doing something as dangerous as lying on train tracks so a train can run over you? (Have you seen those videos on YouTube?) I can't respect or admire this. There's no discovery in this. It's a coin toss. Go grab a nickel, nut jobs!

Amazing! For all the naysayers...get a grip. It is that kind of attitude that keeps you on the couch. Many people need to push their limits. It's what keeps them alive. Without people pushing their limits you would not have the wheel, clothing, electricity, people exploring space, and so on.
Though I look at that and see something I would never do I can respect someone doing it. He didn't just randomly paddle up and fall over the edge. They went out 3 times to scope out the falls.
Crazy...but amazing!!!
