P.U.M.A. - GM and Segway may have lost their minds.

GM and Segway have teamed up to make a tiny non-car-non-segway. They call it the Project P.U.M.A. -- Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility. We call it the Project Love Child -- "never meant to be."

That has got to be the most ridicules thing ever. They should name it "project cab bumper buffer".

It would, however, be good to get some p-brains out of our gene pool.

This is a great idea. Its not the car that you drive cross country in, but it's a perfect idea for suburban transportation. Read Gawkers auto site (Jalopnk, Much better then Weblogs site) the vehicles would interface and travel at a much higher rate on highways. This would serve as the bridge between public transport and long distance rail/Air.

thanks to the gm/segway employees harshit and mtman1988 for putting their two cents in!
lots of better designs out there for smallish type craft. Carver for one. Any three wheel motorcycle would be more stable and make way more sense. Another GM flop. If it really is any good, GM will just kill it like the EV-1. seeya GM.
