Wow. I never even KNEW about the emergency stop buttons that were accessible from the pilot's seat. Shows what I know.
But don't feel too bad, Grant. The sims break constantly for us as well. But that might have been your one chance. Back in the states, simulator use is, believe it or not, regulated by the Department of Homeland Security.
So you might have to fly back to Australia to get another shot at it.
