Ed Viesturs is undoubtedly my favorite high-altitude,elite mountaineer in the Himalayas, and I have done extensive reading about the exploits of these world-class climbers.-I consider myself a very amateur mountaineer who has climbed
more than a dozen "fourteeners" in Colorado, so I love the sport, but wouldn't compare myself to Ed & others like him. I admire these famous climbers of
his level and what they have accomplished.-Good luck, Ed, on your latest endeavor!-Remember your own words, "Getting to the top is optional, but getting down safely is mandatory!" -Charles Walter Wooten (Chuck.)

I agree Chuck, Ed is definitely in a class of his own. If you haven't been watching his progress his year, the team began their summit bid today with an eye on topping out on the 12th, weather permitting.
