We liked this idea so much we formed a small advocacy group to show the Oz government that it would have support from people to actually do it (ok, about an hour ago). No affiliation with the originators.
So, if you're interested in a free flight for tourism this is what you can do to help tell the Aussie government to support it :
1. Join the facebook group ! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=58640422534
2. Post a personalized message to Kevin Rudd's (the PM's) webpage http://www.kevinpm.com.au/ in the Get in Touch with Me form saying "I'll come to Australia and spend $AU5000 if you'll fly me there - support the Mayday Project!"
3. Follow Kevin Rudd on Twitter at http://twitter.com/KevinRuddPM and send him the same message with this hashcode "I'll come to Australia and spend $AU5000 if you'll fly me there - support the Mayday Project! #maydayproject"
4. Invite your facebook friends that may be interested to join this group.
That's it. Then get ready to fly... Or if you've got some innovative ideas on how we can show other support for the idea to get the Oz government to pass this, please feel free to share on the facebook page.
