To get there catch the MV Western Isles www.knoydart-ferry.co.uk 01687 462320 a converted fishing boat that ploughs Loch Nevis twice daily in summer and 45 minutes step off in the small village of Knoydart. Over 1000 folks were cleared off Knoydart bound for Canada in the clearances and you can still see the scars on the land of the runrigging planting that was carried out in years gone by. The Old Forge is mainland Britain's remotest pub, guinness book of records and you can catch a coffee, a real ale or seafood - open all day www.theoldforge.co.uk.
