Woman gives birth in flight...abandons baby?
There's a little controversy brewing over in New Zealand, where authorities are trying to figure out whether a woman who gave birth on a flight from Samoa to Auckland left her baby on board the plane intentionally.Reports differ. Some say the mother abandoned the newborn and walked off the plane. Others say she tried to go back to the plane for the baby (so, presumably, she merely forgot about it).
This happened on a Pacific Blue airline flight today.
It's also not known whether any of the crew noticed that the woman was in labor or had given birth. All the New Zealand Press Association says is that "the baby was found on the aircraft" after landing.
Both mother and child are recovering at an Auckland hospital as the investigation continues.

I just had a feeling this was going to happen. Weird! But of course the woman intentionally left the baby on board people! I wish I could adopt the baby. That would be sweet.

Sorry, but the whole thing is suspect. How is it that the people on the plane didn't know she gave birth?!? It's not like its a particularly clean, silent, act. Babies don't just fall out like wallets out of a back pocket. And the way they are jamming flights full of people "excuse me? Do you mind if this woman sits on your lap?!" "Is that a magazine? That is considered a carryon so you'll have to leave the purse or check the magazine"...COME ON. I think the whole story is crap...speaking of crap- did they find the baby in the toilet? You hear that kind of thing happens...maybe that would explain it.

I AM A FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND I WISH SOME OF THE PARENTS WOULD ABANDON THEIR KIDS OUT IN THE AIRPORT PARKING LOT BEFORE THEY GET ON THE PLANE. YEARS AGO A WOMAN TRIED TO GET ON A PLANE WITH HER 10 YO SON SHE DIDN'T THINK HE NEEDED A TICKET SO SHE JUST TOOK THE KID OVER AND LEFT HIM WITH THE GUY AT THE NEWSTAND IN THE AIRPORT AND GAVE HIM A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL FOR SOMEONE TO PICK HIM UP. SHE GOT ON THE PLANE AND LEFT FOR ORLANDO ON VACATION AND WHEN THE NEWGUY CALLED THE PHONE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED. I GUESS SHE REALLY NEEDED THAT VACATION

I'm sorry but after you give BIRTH you don't "forget" about it. I'm sure her bloody clothes wouldn't have served as a reminder either eh?- Stupid Beotch.

I agree with you. This story is a HOAX.
First - delivery is painful it is a baby's skull banging into the pelvic bone until the baby's head and body find a way to manuver around the birth canal.
Second - almost everyone can hear what goes on in a bathroom on the plane - especially if someone is sick.
Third - the airline stewards would knock on the door if someone was in there for hours - they are trained for medical emergencies
Fourth - Immediately after birth the baby's respiratory system changes from being dependent on the umbilical cord for oxygen to taking a breath for the first time and the shock of going from being warm to having air on the baby usually makes them give out their first cry.
Fifth- In the U.S. the airlines will ask a pregnant woman to show some type of medical evidence of how many weeks into her showing pregnancy she is in, to avoid situations like this.
THIS ARTICLE IS A HOAX. feel free to email me Tangelique21@aol.com

Any woman that just had a baby is not going to just forget it. What the **** is wrong with women these days? Haven,t they ever heard of a birth control pill or a diaframe ? Little babies do not ask to come here. They should have a place you can walk into legally and give the baby up for adoption with out being judged. Some women are not ready to have a baby. Some women just do not want a baby. What ever the reason, the baby should not have to suffer. there are plenty of families who want to adopt a child. But this has to be done with no judgement on the mother.s part. She should be free to make her own choice and I say good for her if she is not ready to be a mother.

This story is devoid of information. It is emblematic of our national problems that so many of you jump to baseless conclusions and pronounce judgment.

Bet you wouldn't say that to a Samon womans face!!! Ingnorant. Last time I checked people of all race and nationality have abandoned children.

I am a physician and I was booted off of a Jet Blue flight in Orlando, FL after I reported serious child abuse onboard to 911. The flight attendants were ignoring my call. I dialed 911 and they asked me the flight number. A few minutes later 5 airport police came on board and made me deplane. They let the woman who was twisting her child's arm out of the socket go on.
True story. Happened around 5/27/08. I was a plane that was flying to Syracuse.
