Lousiana Senator David Vitter throws fit at the airport
Louisiana Sen David Vitter missed his plane at Dulles Airport last Wednesday, and he was not amused.Vitter, who recently gained infamy after being identified on the D.C. Madam's Phone List, found his gate closed, so he went through an armed security door. Why not? He's got that Senator's pin, after all, right? That gives you access to all areas of the airport ... right?
As you might expect, an alarm went off as he then tried to verbally rip an unsuspecting United Airlines gate attendant a new one. Apparently, he even tried to pull rank. Come on. Would that even work in his home state?
When the employee exited to find a security guard, Vitter ran away. What a maverick. According to The Raw Story, "Vitter's spokeperson did not dispute the incident."

Why do "they" all think they're ABOVE the LAWS????
JJ Mar 12th 2009 3:23PM
If he was a democratic senator, this and his perverted diaper wearing with the prostitutes would be front page news and drug addicted Limbaugh would talk about it for a week or more. Because he is a Republican, his outrageous antics will be relegated to the back pages and all will be quiet. At least this is one Republican that wasn't pursuing little boy pages. I bet he missed his plane because he was in the mens bathroom practicing his "wide stance" like the Idaho republicans do.
jim Mar 12th 2009 3:25PM
Shoot him. The world would be far better off with one less Republican.
paul smith Mar 12th 2009 3:26PM
Why should you be surprised?? It doesn't make any difference what party he's in... They are all jerks, who think they're the "ruling class" in this country... They don't pay taxes, they use tax payer money to fund trips, they get into trouble and don't go to jail...unless it's expediate for the opposite party... They stopped representing anyone but themselves years ago... When you "voters" figure that out; it will be toooooo late to do anything about it. WISE UP!!!!!!!

It is embarrassing to have him from LA. He is such a jerk. He is one of those who say "do what I say do, not what I do."
Please don't hold the whole state of LA to blame for him.

jj i wouldn't be surprised if you were right cause that's what i feel it was too

it's totally amazing, just let a republican pull a stunt like this and immediately we get to hear spewed out garbage about 'all politicians do this' crap. and just listen for names of democrats like anyone named Kennedy or Clinton pop up. the day will never come when republicans fess up to all they've done without automatically wanting to drag democrats down the republican rat hole with them.
joe Mar 12th 2009 3:36PM
Impeach all the idiots and start over.
georgechevy1 Mar 12th 2009 3:36PM
You can whine all you want about this party and that party because they are laughing all the way to the bank..At our expense. Need an example? How about Bush 41 and Clinton holding hands while trotting the country and making a fortune for their appearences together? Wake up people..the fights they put on are about as real as the WWF because when they leave they are all having dinner together at the country club.....On Our Tab !
Bruce Cruickshank Mar 12th 2009 3:40PM
If Vitter were a Democrat the story would never have been reported! The liberal media looks after it's own.

In reading these blogs, it amazes me that some people think its more important to mention that he is a Republican than the simple fact that whatever party he represents, the MAN is a piece of S***. If I have learned anything over the past few months, it seems like there are MANY Senators and Congressmen who are fleecing us ALL while we fight over WHO is worse.
Wake up America...we desperately need term limits, and most of all...I think it's time to CLEAN BOTH HOUSES!!!
Granny Mar 12th 2009 3:43PM
Amen....Party affiliation has nothing to do with their stupidity and abuse of power. The members of the senate, he** all the folks in government need to remember that they work for the people and we do not work for them. Perhaps 2 years in office is enough.
Ta2d Mar 12th 2009 3:40PM
I'm sure he was just looking for the Larry Craig bathroom
jb Mar 12th 2009 3:43PM
I don't care whether he's a Dem or a Rep, this is bad behavior. Politicians on both sides of the fence get so used to using their "status" to get what they want, but when you just plain go into melt-down mode, you need some therapy man. I suspect they could all use some therapy to let go of their enormous and out of control egos.
Wes Eustice Mar 12th 2009 3:45PM
It looks as if he didn't get the message. The Republicans lost. They can no longer act as if the
own the country.

The actions taken by the senator is now probably realized to have been a mistake. It is understood why one at that moment in time would attempt all the available means to catch their plane. However, the system as I have found it to be at or around airports, leaves alot to be desired by the flying public. No word yet on the right CAVE, I don`t suppose ? D--N ! 9/11/2001 and still this is where we are, only much deeper in debt, as a part of his original plans, undoubtedly. Good Luck ! On your future flights, Senator Vitter, and all others.

Both parties do similar things. Term limits and civil service is what it should be about. Get rid of career politicians. They are supposed to do this as a service, not for the next book deal. Serve the country and represent the people in your district/state. Same with the pork barrel. Why would a congressmen/senator vote for a billion dollar project in another state, well it is for payback for something he/she gets. The federal governement should not be involved in spending projects in states.
The Federal government should only be involved in resolving disputes between the states and providing a common defense, not all these bailouts etc. We need strong state/local governments not an oppressive ever growing federal bureaucracy.
Again they should represent us, not just lawyers and businessmen. A certain portion should be doctors, teachers, farmers, cops, firemen, NOT just lawyers who couldnt make money in the private sector. They all are corrupt politicans. Colleges offering degrees in politican science, another joke. How to get ahead by using words telling people what they want to hear so you can get ahead and live off the taxpayers.....
rt6913 Mar 12th 2009 3:49PM
He should be dumped by the Senate. What a Jackass. This is extremely symbolic of how incompetent our elected representatives are. Once it's this obvious they MUST be kicked to the crub.
notherROUND Mar 12th 2009 3:46PM
More and more this seems to be typical of the mentaly retarded morons we elect. Once they get voted in they think they are GOD. I bet if the media realy checked this guy out they would find he is a slimy slug. He already has his name in a prostitution "Customer Book".
Steve Robins Mar 12th 2009 5:42PM
Another example of elected officials thinking that the world revolves around them, Democrat or Republican they work for us but thats been forgotten. People need to realize that the current state of government is all designed to give them more control, control of our financial institutions, control of our health care, control of our lives ,our basic liberties are being slowly eroded and until the sheep in this country realize this I'm afraid things will only get worse. If we do not wake up and reclaim our country I fear for the lives our grand children will live.
