You can also get a 500GB portable external hard drive for $121.50 ... Slightly better deal!

I'm not entirely sure how that is a "better deal".
For starters, most people do not need 500GB on the road, then there is of course the price; Amazon lists multiple 500GB portable drives for as low as $98, making them much cheaper than the one you linked to, which actually appears to be a pretty bad deal.
Once you add shipping to that drive it is close to $130, twice the price of the 250GB drive linked to today and $30 more than the average external/portable 500GB drive on Amazon.

I see your point...
First of all let me say that I travel a lot and I would need 500GB on the road. Certainly if you're going to dish out $65 for the deal, then there are at least some people who would not mind dishing out an additional $30-$40 for more space... A road warrior needs to have as much space as possible... When you consider the amount of space RAW video files take up these days, it starts to accumulate
Second, I found the "deal" on a site yesterday and thought it was pretty good considering that some external, non-portable 500GB hard drives cost ~$100. But if there's a cheaper deal, then go for that. Double the storage for under double the price is certainly a bargain!
btw, could you link to the Amazon portable external hard drives?
