Hey Heather!
Love this!
I was a Stewardess.-That's right-bring your girdle,false eyelashes and come to class!
I ended up my career in 1979 by marrying my Great Love {only "great" could have gotten me to quit}!
I traveled more after marrying him than I did while working.
I had a little Yorkie named Trooper {a customs agent named him} that traveled every flight with me. He had an early under seat carrier and only wanted one thing-a cube of ice.
I can't tell you how many times a flight attendant would see him and take him out of his carrier. He was passed around like a magazine. He loved it.
He carried a real passport {with his photo} from the Cayman Islands, saying "this animal is in Her Majesty's Service and may be drafted at any time." It was a hold over of being able to take your animal in time of war.
During The Fauklands Crisis my english friends loved to tease me that Troop would be shipping out any day!
Thanks for bringing up great memories-I appreciate it!
