Fare alert - Virgin America $38 flights to fun destinations
Bored this week? Virgin America has some nice low fares loaded right now for travel to and from San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Los Angeles or Las Vegas. At just $38 each way, you can get yourself a round trip ticket for just $97, all taxes and fees included. The prices only seem to be valid for travel in the coming week, so don't expect $100 tickets during the summer months.
Normally, good fare deals usually involve trips from bad airports to places nobody wants to go, but a day trip from San Francisco to Seattle would probably make for a fantastic way to spend the day.
That's right - these fares are also valid for same day returns. You could leave SFO at 7:15am and depart San Diego at 8:35, giving you an entire day to enjoy the city. A similar trip can be made from San Francisco to Seattle, leaving the airport at 9:55am and departing Seattle at 8:55pm, giving you plenty of time to visit Pike Place Market and take a ride up the Space Needle.
You'll find the deals at the Virgin America web site, and don't forget to bring your laptop or smartphone, because all these flights are currently served by Virgin America planes with WiFi service on board ($9.95 per flight).
As with most deals like this, the longer you wait, the fewer seats will be available at these low prices, so don't procrastinate too long!

The only travel deals I see listed on the "Fares to Fly By" (deals) section of their website lists $49 flights between LAX/SFO/SNA/SAN and $59 flights to/from those airports to SEA. Am I missing something?

seems like its fake. cant find it anywhere on the site, or the web, and cant find flights for that price

Hardly "fake". The image above was from a trip I priced this morning.
Even right NOW I am able to find $38 fares on many routes for upcoming trips in the coming week.
Keep your dates within the next 7 days and you should be able to find the fares. If you don't find them, then they are most likely simply sold out. Remember, I posted these deals this morning, a lot of tickets can sell out in 8 hours time.
An example of an active fare: go to their site and price a trip from SFO to SEA March 9th out, March 10th back. You'll find the $38 fare, making this deal anything but "fake".

ok sorry if i offended you, im searching from NY and dont see anything..wana help?
Scott Carmichael Mar 4th 2009 8:54PM
Sadly nothing good is loaded for them out of New York :(
The fares are all based off trips on the west coast only, probably because those are their shorter trips. NY is a transcon flight, and if always going to be more expensive.
Sorry I can't help you.
