Sorry to be negative; I'm actually a travel enthusiast. But as I said in your early morning post on Mexico travel, the level of violence is something to seriously consider before going to Mexico right now. The drug wars are heating up and spilling into tourist areas. In some cases, this means gunshots and crossfire. Both Acapulco and Cancun have had problems, to name two places. Police and government officials are being knocked off every week, and too many police officers are corrupt (understandable, considering the pittance they are paid). On top of that, there are "pseudo cops," fake police who only mean to rob tourists.
