A Day in the life of Abbey Road time lapse
If you keep watching this video of people crossing Abbey Road The Beatles' style, you'll notice patterns. Some people organize themselves just like The Beatles did in their iconic photograh of the Abbey Road album cover.
The time lapse photography is set to the song "Garble Arch" by the music group Blame Ringo. Look for the near misses. Some people were almost clocked by vehicles that sped through the crosswalk. One guy does a bit of flashing at oncoming traffic.

I had a friend who lived in a apartment building next to this , with a perfet view of this crosswalk. She said she would hear car honking their horns all day as people took their time to line up their cameras for a perfect Beatles-stylen photo. On a side note, the white garden wall of Abbey Road Studios is filled with graffiti. They have to constantly re-paint it and it is almost immediately filled up with graffiti. The Beatles are forever it seems.

Diane is right about the graffiti wall being painted over constantly. In fact it's about every 3 weeks or so. I got this info first hand from the front desk clerk while we were recording an album in studio 2. We spent 3 long days there last summer. The staff were super nice and the studio was a bit intimidating at first. We ate at the restaurant inside everyday & night. I can attest to the traffic at the crosswalk! Abbey Road.com has a 24hr cam on the crosswalk. Search "Scurvy Otto and the Rickets" on myspace if you need to verify my "recording" claim. Cheers to all!
