Yeah, SeV stuff is definitely carry-friendly, but in my view the product line is, well, a little silly and definitely overkill. I mean, 28 pockets? (50 if combined with the fleece!) I just don't know why you would need to carry all the different kinds of gadgets such a jacket is clearly made for. I like simplicity in my gear, as a rule, so will always choose things with less bells and whistles. I doubt a serious (or even casual) traveler would choose this jacket.
Glad you and your wife had a good experience with the MLC. It's a great bag. Timbuktu makes a good product too; I use one of their bags for my around town camera bag.
