For the "pack it all" clothing (and maybe even hiding the essential paperwork/money), Gadling has already reviewed the SeV (or ScottEVest) line, here's the jacket but they have pants too:

Another option is the 5.11 Tactical line of clothing.
My wife and I did a 2 week trip to Hawaii (Kauai') with 2 Patagonia MLCs and a Timbuktu laptop bag. We wanted for nothing, and actually had a few things that we didn't wear/use. She has since done a 6 week work trip with a carry-on and personal item. I'm not talking about some hippy/granola chick either, she's a pharmacist and primps herself just like most other females.

Hi Brian,
Yeah, SeV stuff is definitely carry-friendly, but in my view the product line is, well, a little silly and definitely overkill. I mean, 28 pockets? (50 if combined with the fleece!) I just don't know why you would need to carry all the different kinds of gadgets such a jacket is clearly made for. I like simplicity in my gear, as a rule, so will always choose things with less bells and whistles. I doubt a serious (or even casual) traveler would choose this jacket.
Glad you and your wife had a good experience with the MLC. It's a great bag. Timbuktu makes a good product too; I use one of their bags for my around town camera bag.
Thanks for reading....
