Wacky flight attendant announcements from an airline no longer with us
This hilarious collection of cabin announcements was made by Kurt Stecker who recorded them during his time at ATA airlines. The clip is part comedy and part tribute to ATA, which ceased operation on April 2nd 2008.
The end of ATA put 2300 people out of work, and stranded almost 10,000 passengers around the country. Still, it is obvious from the clip that at least one person working with ATA had a great time, as he puts on a fantastic show to entertain his passengers.

Kurt, I just saw you on tv! I've never been on my space before- but HAD to get on to say "your great!" We need more humorous people like you! I just saw that ATA has closed operations, but I pray that you've found an even better forum! You've obviously made alot of people smile, so keep it up! God willing your on a route in life again! This is a question for Heather Poole:
Would this be tolerated/allowed at other airlines? I remember SONG giving fun announcements, but never at all with the majors.
My wife is extremely claustrophobic, and gets very stressed prior to takeoff. This sort of behavior go a long way towards relaxing people (and taking your mind off the middle seat and screaming baby)

Hey Kurt, I remember you doing this on flights I worked with you. I was channel surfing last night and saw you on "Caught on Camera - Workplace Gone Wild" just in time to Tivo you (just after the guy who got sucked into the jet exhaust). I remember you doing this on flights I worked with you. Good luck with flight school and getting a new job after the demise of ATA.

I would complain if you were my flight attendant. when I fly I want to relax and fall asleep. The attention should be on me and my comfort not on your ego. so, please any flight attendants reading this, don't try to make us laugh. it is irritating.
