She could have saved herself a trip to Mongolia if she had gone to Turkey in 2006. I would guess that Cappadoccia is one of the most amazing places to experience a total eclipse. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Then, she could have gone to Mongolia just for the fun of it.

But, if staying in a Yurt is what she was looking for, she simply could have found a nice spa in the mountains (not that I did!) -
