you have to submit your application then go to a clear facility to be "scanned" then it takes 2-4 weeks to get your card, YOU CANNOT USE IT RIGHT AWAY. Lame I know but I found out the hard way, so thought I'd save you the disappointment.
Had mine for nearly a year, and if you frequent airports where they have a clear station it can save you time. At JFK it usually saves me 20-45 minutes. I wish they would get a clear line at the new T5 in JFK they say they have 30 lines but 2 lines open and 28 closed is a different story, I also really wish clear would set up in vegas.
