Yay! Awesome!
I remember a few years ago in Recurrent Training. We listened to a 911 call. It was a Flight Attendant, who was being held hostage by her ex-husband. She had the know how to talk him into letting her use the phone, under the pretense to call and order a pizza. Instead, she dialed 911. At first the 911 operator thought she had the wrong number, but kept talking and talking until the operator realized something was wrong. The operator finally asked, "Are you ok?" She said, "no!--no! we dont want pepperoni. The operator continued, "Do you need help?" She replied, "yes, just one pizza." She stayed on the line long enough for the operator to track her number. The last thing you hear on the 911 recording is Police entering the house. She saved her own life by F/A training related to hijacking/hostage situations.
