Fisherman's Wharf has a few restaurants -- Boudin's, in particular, is great. The Wharf is also home to Musee de Mechanique, which is a highly affordable diversion.
City Lights and Cafe Trieste are both awesome. I also like nearby Vesuvio and The Saloon.
The Farmer's Market is killer, and a stroll through the Mission or Chinatown is free -- if you can resist the food and the shopping!
