Amsterdam one of the largest cities in Europe ?!? It has less than 1 million inhabitants...

My bad - I always bundle Amsterdam with the rest of the Randstad, which is (if I am not mistaken) the 6th or 7th largest in population numbers in Europe.

Of course, as a city on its own, Amsterdam is relatively small.
