Of course, I wrote this response without checking to see if you addressed it in the link you provided, but if you didn't address it, can you tell us the reason why the flight crew forbids it's use?

i dont think you can use your i pod's, walkman, e.t.c, just in case there is an emergency.... cameras i dont understand why..
