Also to see- Federal Hill on the south side of the harbor has great shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Hampden is a cool little neighborhood just North of Penn Station that caters to the quirky, artsy, hipster crowd with all sorts of nifty retail and eateries. Camden(blocks east of Fells Point) and historic Ellicott City(although outside the city limits) are good bets as well.
And don't forget that the spectacular Chesapeake Bay sitting right next to all of it. Eat some crabs!
