Photo of the Day (12.26.08)

If you've never been to the Djemaa el Fna outdoor market in Marrakesh, Morocco, you're missing an experience unlike any other. As you can see from Luke Robinson's photo above, the large town square, which features food and drink stalls, snake charmers, magicians, and impromptu boxing matches (among other things), is busier almost every night than Heathrow Airport is even the day after Christmas. Every night the place comes alive like this-- it's like nothing you've ever seen, or smelled, or tasted.

Great choice Aaron...I'll never forget the first time I walked into that square. So surreal.

I'd like to teleport right into that photo.
