I like the suggestions. For camera bags and pouch systems, I also recommend checking out ThinkTank, which produces some of the smartest equipment out there right now. Their line of airport camera bags is excellent.
When it comes to magazines, I love that you suggest magazines that inspire, and aren't just about photography. I find some photo-oriented publications such as Pop Photo or Outdoor Photographer lacking a bit in inspirational content, which is swallowed up by pages and pages of advertising.
Finally, for the person who can afford to spend a little more on their photo-loving gift target, consider a portable storage device. This can be a godsend to those who shoot a lot but can't bring a laptop for extra storage. And even if you do take a laptop, an extra backup is always a good idea anyway.
