Thank you so much for this article! I too have been throughly opposed to using photo editing tools as disapproving images of my high school photography teacher filled my mind. I can now appreciate how photo editing can be used to improve the artistic qualities of a photograph while still being true to the image captured. Oh, and full disclosure, I will confess to once editing out a fat guy in a red shirt against a field of dark green pine trees who blundered into my shot of a friend examining a fine fall pumpkin at the last second...I felt bad for days but she loved the image. :-)
