Overall Airport security is improved since 911. The system in place is good although there are too many regulations that slow things down. Higher visibility of security probably has had the greatest impact. The biggest problem with the TSA is the quality and dedication of the employees. Too many barely graduated High School and because they are Government Union Workers, their job security is such that they can't be fired for poor performance. They have to really screw up to get fired. They also have too much authority over the passengers and have a tendency to be over bearing. If our government would stop acting stupid and encourage passenger profiling, the process would go much faster and would be more effective too.
