I was in Dallas twice this fall and went to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza both times. While the text on the walls and audio tours was redundant, the museum is well worth a visit (or two).
And as a Boston native, I've been to the JFK Museum & Library a few times. It's a bit out of the way, but is impressive enough to merit a trip. There's also a great spot to picnic out near the waterfront if the weather is good.
