Not a bad event considering what could have happened. I happened to have 2 cameras with me and fortunately the one I dropped in the river was the single use camera. I would have been devastated if it had been my expensive SLR.

My worst gadget accident was not having a case for my very first digital camera. I took it to the hospital to take pics of my newborn niece and when I got out of the car, I dropped it on the cement! UUUGGG! I was so angry with myself.

it's a few years back now but I'm on the ferry from Cape Cod to Martha's Vineyard and I have to check my Palm Pilot and promptly drop it over the railing. Helpless sight watching your little PDA sinking into the ocean.

I carried the garbage out to the curb. I didn't realize my new ipod had fell into the garbage. I rushed back outside but the cre had already compacted the garbage.

My worst gadget accident was when we were camping at Cape Cod and I had to get up in the middle of the night to you know (go to the bathroom) and it was dark and I didn't want to wake my husband or the kids up so I was trying to find my way outside of the tent in the dark. I managed fine until I had to get back into the tent. I mistook my steps and ended up stepping on our only cell phone. I didn't know that I stepped on it at the time, but the next morning I awoke to my husband "swearing" and apparently the cell phone was cracked and broken and most definitely not working! I was shocked because I had no idea I had stepped on it, and also I only weight about 110 pounds so I never thought that I could have done that much irreversible damage! I didn't hear the end of that "accident" for the duration of our camping trip!

Worst gadget accident would be dropping my relatively new camera in the water on a ride in Disneyland. Never seen again.

My pda phone falling out of my pocket into a freshly used public toilet. After a coat hanger failed to retrieve I said a small prayer and flushed my faithful companion to his final resting place below.
