My brother lives in Honolulu and hasn't reported a decrease in tourists, although I have noticed that the cost of flights to the islands is dropping. I'm hoping that some of the amazing luxury places like the Halekulani (check it out: http://3luxe.com/best_ofs/Beach_Vacations/Halekulani) will soon become a little more affordable.
