A cheetah gets loose on Delta flight

So on Thursday a Delta ground crew member in Atlanta opens the cargo door of a jetliner that had just arrived from Portland, Oregon, only to find that a cheetah -- yes, a cheetah -- was running loose among the suitcases and other luggage.

The Associated Press reports that two cheetahs were being flown to Atlanta in the cargo area of a normal passenger flight. One managed to escape from its cage.

What happened? The airline called experts at the Atlanta zoo, who arrived on scene and tranquilized both cats before taking them back to the zoo.

No damage -- to man or to luggage -- was reported.
