nice post Scott! I'm all over the world and I know of certain SIM cards of where I go (hk, tw), but some places are spotty for me (China). Because of desperation and necessity of being contacted at any given moment in China one time, I'm one of the users (suckers) that racked up $1600 in one week of roaming on voice and data.

Also, consider Fring for many mobile users since you can skype via your cellphone. All you have to pay for is either data or via your free local wifi. Most major phones support Fring nowadays.

Now, if someone can get me off this continent!! I'm itching to be in another (far away) time zone!
