I'm not sure it would be illegal, because if you were just trying to make sure you could beat the game by raising the amount of future blocks shown, you were just playing the game.
And coincidently you raised it above 127.
It could happen to anyone.
But then again, it would be much appreciated if no one did this intentionally, because 10 hour flights are bad enough with entertainment, imagine them without.
