There is a Mitsuwa center here in Costa Mesa (Orange County, So Cal) and it's just as interesting as described above. Food court is excellent, produce in the market is finest quality, there is a sushi prep area - extremely fresh and fairly priced, and the Japanese products shopping as described. Huge magazine/book/video/CD area too - but you have to read Japanese. It's a fun place to explore and the food is always unusual and delicious. So Cal has a large asian population, the shoppers and food court denizens are probably 90% Japanese or other asian - it's very popular. We like to pick up a couple trays of sushi to take home for dinner, along with a bottle of wine. Life is good!
