I was visiting the Borders Express in King of Prussia mall several weeks ago and was all by tackled by the cookbook author peddling her book. I felt bad telling her that I had no interest in her subject because I am well aware that she put a lot of hours into her baby, but I'm not going to let her pressure me into buying something I don't want.

I think it comes down to the basic business principle that people like to buy, but don't like to be sold.
