JetBlue flight attendant accused of sexually harassing a passenger
Here's a sordid, wacky tale, and one that's hard to believe, except that the person who is accused of gross behavior has admitted to part of the accusation.
Here is the scoop from what I read in this CBStv.com story. A male JetBlue flight attendant has been accused by a female passenger of sexual harassment.
She said:
- he said he would make sure no one sat next to her so she could be all his.
- he said that he wanted her.
- he said that she wanted him.
- he kept grabbing himself.
- he tossed his open cell phone on her tray to show her naked pictures of himself .
- he made vulgar comments to her through the bathroom door when she fled there to escape his advances.
- he grabbed her derriere when she was heading back to her seat.
He said that:
- he DID show her naked pictures of himself on his cell phone.
- he DID MAKE sexual advances,
He said he DID NOT
- grab her butt.
- act in a harassing manner.
As a result of the woman coming forward with her accusations, the flight attendant was arrested for "obscene and indecent exposure" and for making "lewd, obscene and indecent sexual proposal." JetBlue is still involved in the investigation of the he said/she said situation.
Even though the incident happened seven months ago, the woman said she was too scared to say something to any officials at the time of the incident. In retrospect, she admits saying something at the time of the incident would have been the best tactic.
If such a thing ever happens to you on a plane, which I would hope is a rare occurrence indeed, here is one thing I've thought of to say to a flight attendant (or anyone else) who is making comments you think are inappropriate:
"Sir (or Mam) you are being inappropriate. I do not like the way you are talking and behaving. If you do not stop immediately, I will notify the appropriate authorities."
If the behavior continues, stand up, walk down the aisle to the appropriate person, tell him or her immediately what occurred. If you do not feel safe after taking action, ask for an escort after the plane lands. The woman said she did not feel safe. I'm wondering if she wasworried that he may do something rash after the plane landed. That's why I would ask for an escort. I don't know if you can get one, but why not ask?
There is no need to take on any bad feelings from a person who is acting like an idiot towards you.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California . He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one o f my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ? It's not cheap to say the least! Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago ? Why not New York ? He was already living in New York .
By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria , and a real estate developer in Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association'. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School ? Where did he get the money for Law School ? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major fina ncial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?
On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley, advisor to Obama, was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza20and is connected with Iran . This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.
Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contributions for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East ?
And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he made a mistake'. Some mistake!
All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washin gton Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008

This a-hole should been removed from the plane, and sued, besides. Probably a drunken fool with a large bank account.

i've dated several flight attendant's in the past. some i met on flights and others in the airport bar's. thier just people like us, looking to enjoy a little bit of life. most are wary of any advances from passengers while on duty. some are aggressive. i like both. like a cocktail waitress, they have heard it all.both are my favorite's. usually they are hot. some of the most beautiful women i have known worked in either one or the other. be polite, real and don't talk yourself in, then talk yourself out. know when to shut-up and leave something for thier imagination.. as most women will do, they will let you know if thier interested, quickly. i never even considered porno as a key. i'm 6'4" 230lbs blond and not real good looking. i am a gentleman. i pull the chairs, open the doors and stand when they leave or return to the table. i do it honestly and most women appreciate being treated like a lady. it's not a 100% guarantee to romance but it's close most of the time.

I had to ask for an escort out of a supermarket once. Admittedly it happened over 25 years ago but I will still tell anyone that will listen. LOL

Meg, I agree, it's really surprising since every male flight attendant I've encountered was gay. And even if they might not have been gay, they sure were effiminate acting.

I fly Jet blue WPB to JFK every month for two years. Jet Blue flight attendents have almost always been picture of professionalism. I find all of this a bit much to believe. Women today do not allow this type of behavior to go on if unwanted or unappreciated...

Some of you are idiots.A woman may not do anything if she feels threatened.I wouldn't.I'd report it once the plane landed and ask for an escort. She may not have said anything because she may have been sexually asalted or haressed or beaten. You only have half the story you need all of it to make a judgement.I think I have stated this comment very wisely and in a sophisticated manor.
P.S. I'm in 8th grade and havent failed or skipped a grade ever.

So what's the problem?

Grabbing someone's nuts is NOT a way to treat a stranger! I've had this happen on the dance floor and I did NOT like it, one bit... Do you think that I'd want to start a relationship with some woman, who grabs other men's privates? This is a person who is either drunk, or has a serious mental/emotional problem.

i am a male flight attendant, that had the samething happen to me in an all inclusive hotel in mexico. the resturant worker hung at my table rubbing his penis, and making advaces. ( he had a hard on )
i told him to go away, i did not know him that way. when he called my room the next morning i told him i was sleeping, and to stop bothering me. i hung up on him.
that was the end of it. true story.

Bloody hell, the attendant was a real wanker and ain't no mystery that they exist in all walks of life. What makes this situation a ridiculous reflection of our times is that it was possible this woman didn't have the basic common sense and chutzpah to ask for help in 300 cubic metre space filled with uniforms and passengers...fear is a learned thing, not a female thing.
ann Oct 7th 2008 5:03PM
yes, male flight attendants can be gross and what he did is wrong, but how often does this happen? Female flight attendants have to put up with far worse from the passengers all the time. for some reason people think its o.k. to touch my butt to tell me you want something, but if it happened to them at their job they would sue. You can't even do that to titty dancers. the guy you can't get out of your galley because he thinks you are a slut(just because you are a flight attendant) and you wil give him the wildest ride of his life if he keeps saying gross and perverted things to you and won't let you get your job done. How many of you have tried to find out the hotel we will be staying in? Do you think that we are that stupid? So this lady is going to sue the airline. Who do I sue when I was held against my will by a passenger who was drunk in the back of the plane? He was forefully kissing me and grabbing my breast and I couldn't get away. If a gate agent hadn't realized I hadn't come off the plane and came looking for me I might have been raped maybe even murdered. By the way I don't care If you are a woman or a man, keep your nasty hands off my butt.
