Wow. After reading this I'm glad I didn't go to Munich during Oktoberfest (I went in July) -- it doesn't sound like fun at all. Beer flows freely in Munich anyway, and I avoided both the crowds and the the bad kind of rowdiness I'm inferring from the article. I'll take Chinesicher Turm over that madness any day.
