San Francisco divided over measure to legalize prostitution
The Golden Gate Bridge, the Haight-Ashbury district, Alcatraz Island.... and now, as if you needed another reason to visit San Francisco, legalized prostitution!
Well, maybe.
A November 4th ballot initiative called Proposition K will allow San Franciscans to decide whether to decriminalize the world's oldest profession. The initiative was introduced by groups of sex workers and health officials, as well as the Democratic County Central Committee, all of whom worked together to gather 12,000 signatures to allow the measure to be put to a vote.
But even in the famously liberal San Francisco, not everyone is behind the measure. Mayor Gavin Newsom, District Attorney Kamala Harris, and a large portion of the business community are opposed to the initiative, worried that legalized prostitution will bring more criminal elements to the city.
So how 'bout it, readers? Are you with the mayor or the sex workers? (I know who I'm with!)

king dee is a triple idiot. and probably a whore monger. montana? never been there, but would like to. so. ca. is completely ruined . just because you're used to filth and ugliness and think women should be whores. san fran and l.a. are completely destroyed cities, and you don't want to admit it. the only ones that can survive in these places are the rich or almost rich. and you ppl are mean as hell and very unamerican. at least i admit the truth, that los angeles is very very destroyed. a blind person can see that. and it's my home town. everyone with any heart or brains knows that los angeles is number one in nastiness and stupidity. they let in too many backward ppl. and it is a haven for both illegals and illegal activity. quality of life is zero, unless your'e a happy whore. and that would be very temporary.

It figures. Democrats have no standards and think everything should be legal....

Prostitution should be legalized or decriminalized. Sex is natural and beautiful. Law enforcement needs to be kept away from consensual sexual relations. Sex workers and their agents should not have to be abused by the criminal justice system. Prostitution empowers women and helps equalize wealth betwen the male and female populations.

Legalize it! About time. Hell, the sex profession is what helped build San Francisco. Take at look at the early of San Fran or read THE EARLY MADAMS OF SAN FRANCISCO-
It should be legalized here too in Los Angeles.
