Naked hiker vows to keep hiking in the buff honoring Germany's nudist roots
There are some people who are determined to not wear clothes in the great outdoors. There are the people who do naked rock climbing, people who hang out on a nude beach (or play volleyball in the buff on a beach like those I saw once in Greece), people who sky dive nude, dance in the nude, go on cruises in the nude, and, like this German guy I read about, people who prefer to hike in nothing but a good pair of shoes.
Even jail time is not dissuading this German fellow from his naked hiking habits, according this Reuters article. This fellow was put in jail for ten days for in the buff walkabouts, but has vowed that he will continue to hit the trails without clothes even though it is against the law. Perhaps he sees a double standard? Hiking in the nude breaks Germany's indecency laws, although nude beaching it is okay in designated areas.
Interestingly, Germany has a German Nudist Association which is part of the German Sports Association. Nudism can be traced back to Germany as a way to be healthier, so the association fits the idea of fitness. This membership has created an increase in nude hiking love. Nude jogging also has a following, but loping along in just socks and running shoes also lands a fine.
In a way, one could say that if there are nude beaches there could be nude forests and nude mountains for those who like to scale cliffs. Whatever they do, I hope they're using a decent sunscreen.

Nude bullriding? Whoa bud!! Nude hiking and skydiving are one thing but putting the family jewels in danger like that is nuts!!!!! hahaha! Literally....But I agree with that german guy, there should be designated nudist forrests if there are nude beaches and such.. Keep on trekking buddy...

There's nothing as exhilarating or freeing as being nude in the world: at a beach or park where it's tolerated. Just don't expect everyone to be as supportive as me. Some people just hate there own and other people's bodies.

WHY would anyone want to do this? I'd think it'd be pretty darn cold and if you have a backpack it would rub and chafe. Overall not a very comfortable or enjoyable experience. And think of the bugbites. Yow! Everywhere! I could think of much more pleasant ways to go through life. I don't get why some people just have to make a spectacle of themselves. It's not accomplishing anything. You wouldn't even have a place to stick a hanky or anything. If this nut wants to go through the mountains and woods naked, let him. Sooner or later he's going to injure or damage something important and then he'll finally get the hint that this is a bad idea, just like naked rock climbing. That's another crazy one there. I'll take a nice LL Bean outfit anyday of the week.

Nudity should be encouraged wherever practical. Nude people have nothing to hide, no concelaed weapons and are usually, repeat usually, more honest about themselves and less pretentious.
I belong to the AANR...and can say these things from experience.

Nude grocery shopping or nude mall shopping would be great. Ya know, look at the way some people dress, with their nipples poking out, their cracks and almost their holes showing, etc. I've seen guys with shorts so low, that the base of their penis is the ONLY thing holding up their shorts. You see it everyday, admit it! Look at the way young girls dress, with their lingerie blouses and tattoos above their crack. That's truly public indecency. So why not just go ahead and walk around BUCK ASS NAKED?
