I always tell people, "Plano is a great place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there." For a business trip, it's fine, with plenty of good hotels, restaurants, and shopping. There's also minor league baseball just across the road in Frisco. And don't forget Southfork Ranch, in nearby Parker. Overall, though, it's not much different than any other corporate suburb.
