Woman goes down baggage chute with her baggage. Whoopsie daisy.
I don't want to laugh but this is too funny: A 78-year old Swedish woman misunderstood check-in procedures at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and along with her bag, she also stepped onto the conveyor belt and fell down the baggage chute. She was rescued by baggage handlers and taken back to the terminal. The conveyor belt was unmanned at the time so no one was there to stop her.Luckily, she came out with no injuries and in time to catch her flight to Germany.
Poor lady, such an innocent mistake. I hope atleast she enjoyed the slide down.

Well, they do tell you to never let your luggage out of sight! :)

I've seen this happen at another airport....the sign said 'to Minneapolis' (meaning to put your baggage here for connection to Minneapolis)..An agent spotted her before she went down the baggage chute and yelled in an alarmed voice: "Madame, where are you going?"--her reply..."To Minneapolis".

This isn't funny! The poor woman is 78 years old. She could have been seriously injured. I hope when you are elderly and confused about something, that someone near you is able to show compassion.

Two years ago at the Salt Lake City airport, I tried to grab my suitcase off the carousel. It was jammed, and before I had time to turn loose of it I also was on the carousel, being dragged and pummeled with luggage. One man REACHED OVER ME, GRABBED HIS SUITCASE, AND LEFT!! A very nice old Chinese gentleman got me off the carousel, and a very nice young American teenager got my luggage. I was in bed for a week, with bruises, cracked ribs, and shock. I was then 63. I don't get my luggage off the carousel anymore. I cause a large and strong male to do it.

That is very unfortunate. I would have certainly jumped in to help you. Some people can be very dispassionate towards others.

You poor thing! Honestly, people have serious problems when it comes to helping others, but I am glad there was someone else there to help you. I hope your recovery wasn't too painful!

Obviously, Brad has little to do but make the 'rounds of posts hawking porn. He (or she) must be a real slime-ball. There's SO many things in this world that need to be addressed and all he/she can do is promote porn! Some piece of work!

Sounds like a great way to avoid those long lines and save a bundle of money on the airfair.

This story would have been funny if she had done it on purpose, considering herself an "old bag", so figured she should fly baggage rate! But since it was an accident, I'm glad she's not hurt!

Parissa...Brad isn't about porn...these are on a lot of boards...they are VIRUSES! (this is what other people have said)

I am glad the poor lady, wasn't hurt. Now the one, where the lady was taken for a ride. Gee, nice man and young person who helped you. How could someone, reach over you and get their luggage, and ignore you?

I once was told my baggage was lost and I would have to remain at the airport offices to fill in all sorts of forms to retrieve it. Knowing my flight made no stops, I got on the conveyor belt and was able to enter the area where the baggage was and spot my bag and yell for someone to get it for me please. They were NOT happy that I was on the conveyor belt, but I was happy to be on my way without waiting two days for my luggage.
