@ Colin. Thanks for your comments, I've just suffered the same problem. I was pretty satisfied with the headphones (great isolation, excellent bass) until they started to fail a couple of days ago: the sound gets distorted every time the wire moves, which is obviously a serious issue for an article designed to work with a portable device. I'm waiting for V-Moda's response but I am not optimistic, as I bought the headphones on eBay; they were new and sealed, but I obviously don't have the original invoice. Did they ask you for the receipt/invoice when you requested the replacement?
