It always never fails to amaze us what sort of crazy screening the TSA is doing on everyday passengers. You've probably seen the pictures of the security officer frisking the nun at Detroit's airport and were thinking what we were thinking -- what is a nun going to sneak into an airport? But the TSA can't discriminate against anyone based on their race, color, creed or age, so they have search even the most innocent looking people just like everyone else.
A 71 year old man was recently searched because he had a prosthetic knee, and the TSA officer went so far as to remove the man's pants in plain sight of the checkpoint to insure that he wasn't hiding anything. Check out the news coverage of the incident below -- we'd be angry too!
I think that being a TSA screener is the only job that most of these people are able to get. They wouldn't qualify for most jobs as they are incapable of thinking.
And do you idiots really think a terrorist is going to wear a sign that says I'm a terroist???!!!
That's why we have TSA screeners!!!! I was on an AFB once when some wimmen got lost and drove on the flight line towards the alert aircraft. They were stopped and spreadeagled. Fortunately, they were harmless but we do have domestic terrorists and anti-war activists who could sabotage
Rememeber the Chechen wimmin with esplosives that blew up the Russian airliner about 4 years ago??? They sacrficed their babies also!!!! It's a mean world out there. If you don't like it, just don't fly and STOP COMPLAINING!!!! Articles like this are just fodder for the authors to sell advertising and alarm the kooks!!!!!!
Amazing that so many people are so smart that they KNOW who is/is not a terrorist.
I travel around the world frequently. I have had both hips replaced. I have never had a bad experience with a TSA agent or with security people in Russia, China, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Australia, France, Egypt and many other countries. I respect the agents and the job they do. I suspect that complainers probably are into themselves and not into the security of the airplane they are about to fly on. I also suspect that complainers feel that what is good for the goose is not good for the Gander. One should mentally trade places with the agent and realize the position the agent is in. After a long shift dealing with a mass of disgruntled travelers the agent must make a decision, Is this subject going blow up the airplane. Try it. One last thought, we have not had a terroist attck on an airplane since these procedures were put in place. Thank You TSA!!
That must mean the TSA can removed anyones pants. Well I want a job as a TSA inspector. Then I can removed any cute broads pants, panties, and then check that thing to see if there are anything stuff in it that might bring down the airliner!! What a job and you get paid for it too. Only America could you have a job like that! Comments Fathertimema@aol.com
Yep, flying is inconvenient now a days. If you are not in a hurry, take a road trip or ride the Greyhound Bus. It is cheaper ( If you don't mind mixing with some low life passengers).
come on now, you know how ruthless the elderly can be. why do you think your local walmart has them at the front door when the alarm sounds. Seriously,,welcome to the your future, the police state.
TSA has an SOP that should be followed. It says that you should offer anyone a private screening at any time. Obviously the person (TSO) was ignorant to that and in my opinion should have been terminated. But, we only get one side of that story. As for the woman arguing with a TSA agent that to should be grounds for dismissal as TSA has a policy for not touching passengers unless you are threatened with bodily harm. A Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) should have been notifiedand let him handle that. TSA has many people that are power hungry and just because they work for SEcurity gives them no more rights than the average citizen. Those gung-ho idiots should have been weeded out long ago. And that is just one of the reasons I retired from TSA.
WHAT THEY DIDN'T TELL YOU WAS, THE GUY WAS AN AGING AIRLINE PILOT. WHAT OTHER DOPE WOULD FLY FOR FREE? THESE BOOBS LOST THEIR PENSIONS WORTH ANYWHERE FROM 1.2 TO 2.4 MILLION DOLLARS. IF THAT'S NOT WORKING FOR FREE, THEN I DON'T KNOW WAHT IS.
Forget hijacking airplanes because terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as the people on the plane will not go down quietly. It only worked the first three times on 9/11 when people were unaware of what was planned. Passengers & crew will NEVER allow it to progress that far again.
Our airport security is a joke- we are being reactionary versus looking at strategies that are effective.
1) our machines are outdated. They look for metal and the new explosives are made of plastic
2) Some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire - we now have to take off our shoes, a group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives - now we can't bring liquids on board. I am waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on their underwear and light up in a plane or in the terminal and then we will all have to travel naked!
3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates, if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times and on the front end when people are checking in. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. Israel checks bags before people can enter the airport.
Having also just viewed the video, this is old footage because the uniforms are from THREE years ago!! If you look at TSA employees now, we have a big TSA on our backs (in the white shirts) not little TSA up at the neck which is what shows for this video of the man in the wheelchair and the woman being dragged to the ground. Remember also, you want to be treated with respect, treat the TSA with respect. If we ask you to do something and you don't do it, we will ask again, and again until we get you do what we ask. TSA baggage people get treated just as rudely as the TSA checkpoint people, although checkpoint gets it worse.
seems to me that some tsa agents abuse thier athority to see some people naked and then they probably go and masterbate over the bodies that they have seen i can just see some punk stripping down that cute chior girl and then running to the mens room and jacking off

Trains too. Unless flying is absolutely necessary, I'll drive.
